Poker Face- SALE PENDING
Poker Face is a 15.1hh, 11 yr old, Red Roan appy gelding, that is very stocky built. We originally sold Poker 2 years ago to a longtime customer in New York for his daughter to learn to ride on. She has trail rode him, had him at ranch shows, obstacle competitions, she has also ridden him english, done jumping with him, shown him in hunter classes and has won several awards with him. She was looking to move up in the hunter world and be more competitive so she traded up to a much bigger warmblood horse. Poker has been mostly as a trail horse, traveling across the eastern US and he has been used around a cattle ranch to sort and pen cattle. Poker has been camping and he has saw everything possible on the trails. He will cross creeks, ditches, logs and navigate rough rocky areas. He is safe in traffic safe whether that be trucks or cars. He has been ridden by beginners of all ages. Poker is a gentle horse that most anyone will get along with. He is big and stout enough to carry a larger rider but gentle enough for those smaller ones as well. He has a good handle, will one step lope and backs. He has a nice western pleasure type of jog that is smooth to ride, his lope smooth as well! You can lope him around or even put him in a full gallop, slide stop him and he will calm right back down and walk quietly as soon as he is asked. Poker has been exposed to all kinds of wildlife such as deer or turkey or other animals like cows or dogs and will go anywhere that he is asked too. He has been rode many miles in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky and encountered every obstacle possible on the trail. He will go up or down even the steepest slopes, across deep creeks, over downed trees, and over all types of rough terrain while still being sure footed. Poker is not cinchy, cold backed, does not crib or weave and will not try to pull back when he is tied. He is very friendly and loves attention. He has all the color, the right mind set and no matter what happens he always keep a poker face! Feel free to call Eric 606-308-2461 with any questions.
